Where Buginyanya Zonal Agricultural Research Station (BugiZARDI) is located. They have a breeding flock of high-grade Boer goats. They have also collaborated on exploratory research on artificial insemination using chilled (not frozen) semen - in collaboration with JOY Goat Development Programme.

Mbale

One of the districts where JOY Goat Development Programme has the greatest activity (household milk production, with a 50% dairy blood as the target).

The main district for the CAP (PONT) project wich coordinates the crossbreeding work of a number of local NGOs, mostly aiming at 50% dairy goats.

The core district for Elgon Dairy Goat Breeders Association. (The farmers’ organisation set up by FARM-Africa.) They have substantial numbers of 75% dairy goats, and some purebred British Toggenburgs.
